An Introduction!

Since it appears you have had the fortunate luck of finding our website, please let me take the chance to welcome
you here. I'd like to take a moment to tell you about myself, what our goals are, and what you can expect
from following our blog.

My name is Zachary Ard, and I am the owner of the Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage. We are located in a suburb of
Lafayette, Louisiana (also known as the heart of Cajun Country by many). As an owner & previous owner of many fun
& unusual cars, I've developed a healthy passion for automobiles. Especially those that are slightly off the beaten
path, for whatever reason.

Being the current owner of a mid-80's Nissan 300ZX Turbo (known as a Z31 chassis car in Nissan tech-jargon) as well
as a Mark 1 VW Cabriolet & a 1988 Acura Integra LS, I started ASCO with a goal of beginning to build aftermarket
support for not only cars I own, but for owners of other platforms that find themselves in the same situation as us. (Undersupported and underestimated).

Our gutted intake manifolds were the first product I carried; however, you'll see I've begun to expand into different
Z31 products (intake spacers, camber plates, and soon to be a whole lot more), added high quality product brands
(our 14point7 electronics kits being the first), and we now also carry parts for different vehicles and platforms
as well.

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be born car-crazy. My family has (literally) 35 titled & insured antique, classic,
and sports cars, not including the various project vehicles around my dad's mechanic shop, and our family's salvage yard. I grew
up working with and helping out with these, and because of those experiences, I want to work towards helping others
own and maintain their own favorite vehicles.

I feel my work in creating and growing the Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage is a way to do that, by offering products
for vehicles that no one else will take the time to support, and encouraging others to take interest in those types
of cars. It's the best way I have, with my skills and abilities, to share my passion.

We'd like To give you an idea of what you can expect to find in our blog section (as well as our upcoming Youtube
channel). Some of the things you will see include:

  • Tech Tips (From us, from manufacturers we deal with, and user submitted)
  • Videos of parts manufacturing, dyno runs, event coverage, and more
  • User-submitted Product Reviews
  • Information on New Products
  • Updates on vehicles and drivers sponsored by Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage
  • and more!

Once again, I'd like to welcome you to the new website for the Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage.
We hope that you'll enjoy your stay, and find something here that will keep your automotive
passion alive!

Sincerely -
Zachary Ard
